Everyone’s cancer is unique. Your support should be too. We are here to help by providing a place where cancer patients, their family members, and caregivers can connect with their community.
Group support provides opportunities for connection with others who are sharing similar experiences and the comfort in knowing you are not alone.

A cancer diagnosis can be stressful on everyone, whether you are the one with the diagnosis, part of their care team, or a friend or family member of someone diagnosed. You are not alone when you join our community.
All diagnoses. All stages. From the moment of diagnosis through treatment & beyond, the effects of cancer aren’t only physical – there is a profound emotional & social impact as well. Joining a community of people who have experienced cancer firsthand can decrease the sense of isolation & empower you as you learn to live with cancer.
The impact of cancer extends beyond the person who has been diagnosed. Balancing caregiving with everyday responsibilities is something no one should have to face alone. Our community provides information and tools for learning to not only care for your loved one, but also yourself.
Gilda’s Club Quad Cities can offer business partners a return on corporate sponsorship investment by providing strong co-branding opportunities and the chance for your brand and our red door to make a statement to the residents of the Quad Cities that our organizations are working together to support families living with cancer.
Completing treatment for cancer often results in many emotions – happy and relieved that treatment is complete combined with worry and fear about the future. Finding support that addresses these specific issues can be helpful. We offer a variety of programs and services that address issues pertaining to life after cancer.
When cancer is in the family, parents often struggle with what to say and how to provide emotional support to their children. Our program improves family communication, gives children and teens age appropriate information about cancer, and improves coping skills helping children and families continue to thrive.
The last thing a child wants is to be seen as “different” among his or her peers. Yet cancer has the ability to re-define a child’s identity in the eyes of others and to create feelings of isolation. Licensed mental health professionals at Gilda’s Club can provide school professionals with direct social and emotional support when a student or coworker is impacted by cancer in their school.
When a loved one dies, communicating feelings of grief and loss can be very difficult. Talking with others who are going through the grieving process is often beneficial.
In order to meet the expanding needs of individuals impacted by cancer in our community, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities partners with several clinical and community - based organizations in order to provide emotional support and educational programs for those living throughout the Quad Cities area.
