June 12, 2018 (Davenport, Iowa) – The 11th annual QC Cancer Awareness Ride, formerly known as the QC Ride for the Cure, will take place on Sunday, August 19 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, 2815 Locust St. Davenport. The ride continues to be an amazing event for Gilda’s Club Quad Cities as riders enjoy joining together and riding in honor of all those who have fought and continue to fight their battle with cancer.
New this year, because cancer affects everyone in all walks of life, the motorcycle ride has been expanded to also include a Jeep and Classic Car show that will take place at the fairgrounds all day while the motorcycles are out on their ride. Following the ride, the motorcycles will return to the fairgrounds where they can celebrate and take part in the food, music, auction and raffle items.
Registration is now open for this year’s ride and car show. Registration fees are listed below. Registration includes a complimentary t-shirt for both the rider and the passenger.
Registration fees are as follows:
- $15 – Rider only
- $25 – Rider with passenger
- $25 – Jeep entry with 2 shirts
- $25 – Classic car entry with 2 shirts
More information on the ride stops will be released as we approach the event date.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Gilda’s Club Quad Cities and remain local to support those within our community that have been impacted by cancer.
