Feb. 21, 2018 (Davenport, Iowa) – Gilda’s Club joined forces with the Quad City Mallards on Feb. 10 to help kick-off the first annual “Pink the Rink” game and was able to raise a total of $1,233 thanks to the outpouring of member and community involvement leading up to and during the game.

For the special game, Gilda’s Club sold 56 tickets for a total of $280. These sales allowed for Gilda’s Club to be the organization to receive all profits from the popular “chuck-a-puck” sales which brought in a total of $430.

Throughout the game, Gilda’s Club also sold merchandise and raffled off two, team signed hockey sticks as well as a vintage 1999 jersey that had been signed by the 1999 team after the conclusion of the 1999-2000 season. Total raffle and merchandise sales for the game brought in $523.

Overall, Gilda’s Club is honored to have been part of such a successful event that celebrated those in our community who have been affected by all types of cancer. Profits from the event will remain local and help to ensure that Gilda’s Club can continue to provide free support and education to all those in our community who are impacted by cancer.
