Gilda’s Club will host their 21st annual Lighting of the Blessing Tree event on Tuesday, December 10 from 6 – 7 p.m.
The Blessing Tree is a 21 year tradition at Gilda’s Club in which people can sponsor a light, bow, or ornament in memory of, in celebration of, or in thankfulness for a special person in their life. All the proceeds from The Blessing Tree help Gilda’s Club in their mission to support local individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnosis at no charge.
The celebration will begin at 6 pm on Tuesday, December 10 with the lighting to follow at approximately 6:30 pm. Light hors d’ oeuvres, along with a beer and wine tasting, will be provided from 6-7 pm.
You can be a part of the Blessing Tree by sponsoring a light, bow or ornament to honor a special person in your life. Individual lights are just $10 each or you may purchase five lights for $25. Large bows may be purchased for $30 each or gold ornaments can also be purchased for $50 each. A display in the clubhouse will feature the name of the person each light, bow, and ornament represents and a letter of tribute and holiday blessings will be sent if you wish. The tree will remain lit until Monday, January 6.
