Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in Iowa. Anyone can get skin cancer, but most cases can be prevented by practicing sun safety and avoiding tanning beds and devices.

Wendy Ballou, RN, BS, OCN, CCM, will discuss:

  • Risks for skin cancer
  • How to best protect yourself in the sun
  • Monthly self-skin exams
  • Ingredients to look for in sun screen
