Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE movie and popcorn day to honor the life and legacy of Gilda’s Club founder, Gene Wilder – iconic actor, writer and advocate – on Wednesday, September 7th beginning at 10:00 am at Gilda’s Club (1234 East River Drive, Davenport).
Movies to be screened include:
- Hanky Panky*, 10:00 – 11:50 am
- The Producers, 12:00 – 1:30 pm
- Young Frankenstein, 1:45 – 3:30 pm
- Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, 3:45 – 5:45 pm
*Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner fell in love during this movie’s filming.
“Gene and Gilda left a legacy of humor and lightheartedness,” said Gilda’s Club Quad Cities Program Director Melissa Wright. “Cancer can obviously be sad and emotional, but when you come to Gilda’s Club it’s about comradery and friendship and being with people who care. I think that will always continue,” said Wright.
