6th Annual Amy Meyer Bike Ride to Beat Cancer
– In memory of Amy Meyer –
Amy Meyer lost her battle with breast cancer on February 28, 2008. Her friends wanted a way to remember and honor her so they decided to host a bike ride through Muscatine and donate all the proceeds to an organization that meant a lot to Amy called Gilda’s Club. Nothing would make Amy happier than a bunch of fun people gathering in her honor and raising money for a great cause.
On September 28, 2013 participants will ride to local drinking establishments in Muscatine who give generous donations, as well as allow us to invade their businesses for a while. We play games at some of them and mingle with friends at others. We’re sure Amy would have loved spending the day this way and we know she’s always with us during this fun event.
Please consider laying aside your worries for the day and enjoy the people you’re with knowing that your money is going to a great cause in the name of a great human being whom we miss every day.
***How to Register***
Arrive at the Hilltop Tap, 929 Lucas Street, Muscatine, before 9:00 a.m. on September 28th to pay registration and buy t-shirts and koozies. Keep in mind that t-shirt sizes may be limited the day of the ride.
