Until the need for social distancing surrounding concerns of the spread of COVID-19 have passed, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities will be temporarily suspending social events and most healthy lifestyle activities. Brought to you by Genesis Cancer Institute. Join us on August 28th for a special luncheon event and get to know Amy as she talks about her unexpected journey with breast cancer after being diagnosed following on an on-air mammogram on Good Morning America. Please know that the following protocols are in place to ensure your utmost safety: 

  • Temperatures will be taken at the door along with general screening questions
  • Masks will be required (can be removed once seated at table)
  • Tables will be placed 6 feet or more apart
  • Each table will seat 4 individuals instead of the normal table of 8 to allow for safe social distancing (those that purchased a table of 8 can keep their table of 8 or move to 2 tables of 4 if preferred)
  • Rhythm City will also be following strict protocols in accordance with CDC, local Health Department, and company guidelines

Tickets are limited. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with luncheon program at noon.

Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Making Treatment Decisions

This free workshop on Thursday, 8/27, 6 – 8 pm with Toni Weeks, LMSW, Oncology Social Worker, UnityPoint Health – Trinity Cancer Center and Kelly Craft, LISW, LCSW, Gilda’s Club Quad Cities offers information on making treatment decisions. We discuss various treatment options, the cost of care, and navigating the decision-making process. This workshop will also be broadcast on Facebook Live at facebook.com/gildasclubqc.
