Dr. Cheryl True will provide an overview of Lifestyle Medicine; how it is a crucial part of modern healthcare, but often overlooked or neglected due to many factors, such as, lack of time or knowledge on the part of healthcare providers. Dr. True will share insights about how to set realistic goals for committing to lifestyle changes- wherever you are on the spectrum of health. A few healthy recipes will also be sampled during the workshop.

Lori Caruso, a 35-year veteran of the beauty industry and certified Esthetic Oncologist, will help us explore the proper care of skin that has been compromised by Chemotherapy, selection and care of wigs, and product do's and don'ts. You will learn simple relaxation techniques and learn how stress affects your skin. Lori has special training in hair pieces/wigs and is a regular guest expert on "Paula Sands Live!"

In this workshop, participants will have a chance to sample a variety of smoothies and juices featuring seasonal, local produce and other healthy sources of protein, fiber and fats. Participants will learn about the benefits of smoothies and juices and also learn the difference between the two - why sometimes a smoothie is better than fresh juice, and vice versa.
Melissa will share recipes, ideas on how to use seasonal produce in either smoothies or juices, and various tips and tricks on how to make these super healthy and delicious drinks at home.
